KSW Newsletter for clients and associates of Kreston Stanley Williamson
What is a Director Identification Number and how do I get it?
We have covered in previous editions of KSW Insight that all directors of Australian companies, including directors of corporate trustees of SMSF’s, are required to obtain a Director Identification Number (Director ID) by the prescribed deadline.
Our full article here provides some important information about the Director ID process, including how to apply for one and by when.
The deadline to protect your domain names is fast approaching
Since 24 March 2022, anyone with a local connection to Australia (including businesses, associations, and individuals) has been able to register a new category of the domain name such as .au instead of .com.au. All Australian businesses will have until 20 September 2022 to reserve their .au equivalent domain name, before it becomes available to the general public.
Our full article here explains the importance of securing your domain names and how cybercriminals can use this for fraudulent cyber activities if not secured on time.
FuseSign – our new electronic signing platform
Kreston Stanley Williamson has recently decided to move to a streamlined easy-to-use electronic signing platform via FuseSign from July 2022. One of our highest priorities is getting documentation out to our clients as quickly and securely as possible and with FuseSign we can achieve both of these effortlessly.
Our full article here explains what this will mean for you and the simple steps on how to review and sign your documents using the FuseSign platform.
Bill Stanley Reaches
During the last month our enigmatic founding partner, Bill Stanley, reached a major milestone. Bill achieved the rare distinction of 60 years as a chartered accountant. There are not many people who have achieved that!
Bill was presented with his 60th achievement at a special dinner on 23rd June 2022 held at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney. The dinner was put on by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ). There were 6 other people who had reached the milestone this year, also presented on the night.
We are very proud of Bill’s efforts. In case you didn’t know Bill still does work for KSW on a part-time basis. He can be seen in the hallways of KSW on a weekly basis. Good living, and the love of a glass of champagne or red wine, have no doubt contributed to his longevity.
Well done Bill – great effort!
