What is a Director Identification Number and how do I get it?
We have covered in previous editions of KSW Insight that all directors of Australian companies, including directors of corporate trustees of SMSF’s, are required to obtain a Director Identification Number (Director ID) by the prescribed deadline.

The deadline to protect your domain names is fast approaching
Since 24 March 2022, anyone with a local connection to Australia (including businesses, associations, and individuals) has been able to register a new category of the domain name such as .au instead of .com.au. All Australian businesses will have until 20 September 2022 to reserve their .au equivalent domain name, before it becomes available to the general public.

Bill Stanley Reaches
Major Milestone
During the last month our enigmatic founding partner, Bill Stanley, reached a major milestone. Bill achieved the rare distinction of 60 years as a chartered accountant. There are not many people who have achieved that!
Bill was presented with his 60th achievement at a special dinner on 23rd June 2022 held at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney. The dinner was put on by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ). There were 6 other people who had reached the milestone this year, also presented on the night.
We are very proud of Bill’s efforts. In case you didn’t know Bill still does work for KSW on a part-time basis. He can be seen in the hallways of KSW on a weekly basis. Good living, and the love of a glass of champagne or red wine, have no doubt contributed to his longevity.
Well done Bill – great effort!
