Requirements

About the role

We are currently seeking to hire an experienced senior manager to join our team. Ideally, we are looking for someone with a robust tax background. Your expertise will be instrumental in navigating complex tax matters and providing valuable insights to support clients’ business objectives. This role presents an ideal opportunity for individuals who currently possess or aspire to pursue a master’s degree in taxation.

You’ll gain a broad range of experience, including, but not limited to:

  • Reviewing and managing the delivery of complex financial statements, consolidated financial statements and Income Tax Returns prepared by team members.
  • Providing tax and business advice to companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals, and self-managed superannuation funds. 
  • Implementing of delivered advice (e.g. tax structuring strategies). 
  • Preparing M&A tax advice, including tax due diligence reports and review of sale & purchase agreements.
  • Managing relationships by providing personal and dedicated service to our clients.
  • Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies on behalf of the client. 
  • Managing workflow and supervision of more junior accountants and bookkeepers. 
 
About you
 

Ideally, the role will suit an enthusiastic professional who is keen to expand their knowledge and not shy to take on early responsibility. 

You should be able to demonstrate the following skills and qualities: 

  • CA/CPA qualified, or eligible to commence study.
  • Management experience with at least 5 years’ experience, ideally in Corporate Tax or Private Clients Tax.
  • Experience in compliance and advisory work for various business type – company, trust, partnership, individuals and SMSF. 
  • A thirst for tax, accounting, and general business knowledge.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
