In line with our growing commitment to ESG initiatives, Kreston Stanley Williamson took on a three-week sustainability challenge, organised by Ma Petite Planète (MPP). Our participation in this eco-focused initiative was just one of our many ESG initiatives to propel KSW into an accelerated ESG journey. The eco games hosted by MPP are sustainability themed team challenges that involved 1,209 corporate participants from around the world. More than 25 Kreston firms came together, working collectively towards a greener future. Within our firm, we had a team of 22 Kreston Sustainability Warriors (KSW) who actively took part in the Eco Games, driving sustainable change.
The challenges were divided into various categories such as Food, Technology, Waste, Water and Energy, each with different corresponding points. Most of the challenges were easy to complete as they are all part of our daily routines, which proves that every action, whether it may be a big or small effort, can contribute to helping the environment. As the three-week challenge kicked off, the competitive spirit of each participant was brought out, with everyone vying for the 1st spot. The competition within KSW was intense, with one Kreston Sustainability Warrior outshining the others to earn the title of Kreston Sustainability Master and taking the top spot, Arlene Altes. Congratulations also goes out to Markus Goebel and Shahenaz Aziz for coming in close second and third.
In the final week of the games, things got exciting as the rankings were in constant flux, with all other Kreston firms battling it out fiercely for every point. In the end, the Kreston Sustainability Warriors finished 4th. They completed 77 challenges and earned 231.5 points. It was a tough competition, but what it all comes down to is that every point they earned, regardless of rankings, means they were helping the environment.
The combined efforts of all Kreston Firms, were able to achieve the following results:
Kreston Stanley Williamson’s participation in the Eco Games represents a strong commitment to our ESG initiatives. This is about more than just competition, or the 3 weeks we have just been involved in, it is an opportunity to inspire and educate individuals and companies about carbon footprint reduction. Alongside the other Kreston firms, this initiative marks an important step in our sustainability journey, and we will work to continue making a positive impact we can collectively make in creating a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable world.
