Update on S&W and our clients

Time has marched on and we are already almost two months into the new year. Business activity has kicked into action after the normal hiatus from mid-December until early February. We thought we would give you an update on what is happening at S & W and for our clients – sort of like a state of the nation.

Internet fraud in action

We had the unusual occurrence with one of our clients in the last six months where someone had somehow accessed some of their private details and was able to make some changes to their details with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and the myGov online system. This is the first time that we have heard of something like this with any of our clients so it is a good lesson, reminding us to be vigilant with private information .

SuperStream – effective from 1 July 2015

Staff baby news

S&W would like to offer congratulations and good luck to one of our talented accountants, Libby Copeland, who welcomed two new baby boys into the world last month. Twins Lachlan and Harry are proving to be a juggling act for the family, but Libby has reassured us they are all getting some sleep. We wish Libby, husband Ben and big brother Hamish all the best.
